"How to Build a REST API using ASP.NET Web API" by Fernando Cardenas

Wondering about the whole API craze sweeping developerdom? Come find out what REST is, why it’s useful, how it fits into an HTTP world, and how to build an API using ASP.NET Web API in C# in no time. We’ll build a quick API for my CD collection, showing basic Create-Read-Update-Delete functionality and cover standard REST practices and messaging in JSON/XML.

"JavaScript Patterns for the C# Developer" by Ben Hoelting

One of the biggest learning curves for C# developers trying to learn JavaScript is getting over the lack of language features available in JavaScript. Simple keywords like Namespace, Class and Interface are not currently available in JavaScript. So how do you create these things and do inheritance in JavaScript? After you attend this session you will know how. We will discuss some of the key differences between JavaScript and C#. Then we will discuss the Design Patterns used by experienced JavaScript developers to write large, maintainable and scalable applications.

Software Architect for Aspenware, C# MVP and Telerik Insider. He graduated from Colorado State University in 1997 with a BS in Computer Information Systems and a Minor in Computer Science. Ben joined the IT industry in 1996 as an intern and has worked with .NET since its inception back in 2002. Over the last few years he has done some work for the Department of Defense. He left the government world and now works for Aspenware in Denver. His most recent projects include a XAML line of business application that uses the ADO.NET Entity Framework to access the backend data store. He also is working on an MS Office automation project as well as geospatial ASP.NET MVC website. Ben is a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) for Web and Windows .NET 4.0. Finally, Ben is very involved in the local .NET community and is the leader of the South Colorado .NET User Group.

"Building Sensor-based apps for the Windows Phone and the Windows Store" by Tim Binkley-Jones

A variety of sensors come standard on most Windows 8 based phones, tablets, and ultra books. Applications can use data provided by an accelerometer, compass, or gyroscope as an input mechanism or to augment reality with computer generated information. These sensors are accessed via the Sensors API found in the Windows Runtime, Microsoft's new application platform. In this talk, we will look at the Windows Runtime Sensor APIs you can use to build Windows Store and Windows Phone applications.

"Single Page Applications using ASP.Net MVC & HTML5" by William Wegerson

Introduction to building Single Page Applications (SPA) which allow for rich client side interactions using JavaScript and HTML 5. On the client one can target many different platforms, mobile, desktop and tablet using rich libraries such as Durandal, jQuery-Mobile and Knockout.Js in the .NET world.
Become familiar with the templates available as well as an overview and installation of the components which make up SPAs and how to put them together using Visual Studio 2012. This presentation will bring you up-to-speed on the technology, focusing on page creation and covering the interaction of ASP.Net MVC with basic data transport and JQuery libraries.
