U.S. Figure Skating Senior Director, Information Technology
U.S. Figure Skating, the National Governing Body for the sport of figure skating, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is accepting applications for the position of Senior Director, Information Technology. U.S. Figure Skating is a member of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), and the International Skating Union (ISU).
Responsibilities Include:The Senior Director of Information Technology is responsible for promoting and directing the effective and efficient utilization of technology to advance and enable U.S. Figure Skating’s organizational objectives. The Senior Director of IT will work closely with U.S. Figure Skating’s internal IT Steering Committee to identify, evaluate, approve, and prioritize material IT efforts and/or projects. This leadership role will also manage the delivery of IT services, which include Infrastructure (LAN, Servers, Messaging, Desktop Support), Web-based Application Development, Packaged Applications (such as Great Plains), Telecommunications, Hardware and Software Procurement, Project Management, and Quality Assurance. In addition to service delivery management, this role will also require hands-on participation in selected material IT efforts and/or projects.
Qualifications: A qualified candidate must have strong organizational and leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and possess a desire to serve U.S. Figure Skating and its constituents. The candidate must also have the ability to establish rapport with individuals from all levels of the organization, should be detail oriented and should have the ability to multi-task. A Bachelors Degree is preferred and the candidate should have experience managing IT departments or specific services within IT. Knowledge and implementation of industry-standard best practices for IT governance is desired. The successful candidate will also have at least 7 years of experience in IT with a demonstrated track record of progressive responsibility.
