This job will go thru a phone interview first for culture check with the Director of IT, then be invited on site for a face to face and more of a tech screen.

Their culture is a very can-do attitude, good verbal skills, ability to communicate well, etc. This is like a Tier II help desk, fixing problems in maintenance & production, and it is mostly over email, so someone that wants to be on the phone all day won't be a fit.

This is an IT organization that has hired 25 people in the past year - someone that wants to grow their career would find this a great position to get started in with minimal .Net experience. Either C# or VB is OK as long as they have .Net framework experience, but they will be working primarily in VB.

This company makes software for the foreclosure industry, but it is not affected by the current problems in the market.
Application Development and Support Specialist (VB.NET and SQL)
An established and growing national real estate services company is looking for a full-time Application Development and Support Specialist. Position requires flexibility, multi-tasking and organization, since this contributor joins a small development team and will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, deploying, supporting applications in production, report writing and writing system documentation.

Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years software development using VB in a .NET environment
Minimum of 1-2 years end user application support
Minimum 1 year developing against Microsoft SQL Server databases
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience
Preferred Experience
Infragistics library implementation
Writing reports using ActiveReports
Software configuration management (nAnt, make, etc.)
Microsoft Access Forms Development/Maintenance
Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
Mortgage processing or related industry expertise
Position Responsibilities:
Designs, codes, deploys and maintains applications that support business processes
Provides technical support to application users (applications & data updates)
Designs enhancements and bug fixes for existing applications that support established business processes
Writes and modifies SQL queries/jobs for ad-hoc reporting
Executes testing activities as appropriate to implementation plan
Write and enhance existing user and management reports
