Combo of content and actual development - Direct hire position.
Purpose: seeking a Web Developer to develop and maintain its intranet and Internet web sites. The Web Developer position will be a member of the web development team within the Corporate Information Services (IT) department.
Responsibilities include:
Participate in various development projects focused on enhancing the corporate web sites' functionality, content delivery and presentation.
Participate in all aspects of the system development life cycle, with specific focus on requirements gathering, application design, estimation, development, unit testing, operations planning and deployment.
Collaborate with business partners as well as other internal development and infrastructure teams, external vendors, business partners, and management to deliver business-focused solutions on time and within budget.
Lead and coordinate projects as required.
Provide production support coverage.
Independently complete assigned site enhancements.
Experience Required:
5+ years experience with traditional web standards such as HTTP, Dynamic HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, ASP, and Cascading Style Sheets.
5+ years experience supporting production applications.
Solid understanding of system life cycle methodologies to include waterfall, RAD, etc.
Strong analysis skills, gathering user requirements, developing process maps and use cases.
Experience and ability to create requirements documents, design documents, deployment plans, and other project documentation deliverable.
Strong trouble shooting skills.
Excellent interpersonal and written & oral communication skills.
Capable of working independently as well as an effective team member/leader.
Experience with web content management systems preferred.
